Restasurant No. 2

Restaurant NO. 2 is the little sister of the 2* Michelin restaurant AOC (which Chaine Denmark visited in June). The ownership can be immediately recognized on the stylish decor, the same uncompromising approach to the ingredients and the flavor compositions that have secured the AOC stars. AOC owners, Echanson Christian Aaarø, and Søren Selin, ensure the wines have the same style as they have at AOC, and therefore you get at No. 2, the same exciting flavor combinations as AOC, but in a slightly simpler expression.

On arrival we started with a DANISH sparkling wine - from Skærsøgaard near Kolding, in the area DONS - the EU's northernmost and Denmark's first appellation, on a par with the more well-known areas such as Bordeaux, Champagne etc. For this, canapés in the form of oysters and small cream cheese and salami- filled choux pastries.

Chancellor and Grand Officer Maître Rôtisseur Thorbjørn Moy gave the assembled brigades his appreciation after the dinner. And he was very happy that the kitchen really knew how to utilize the ingredients - The pike perch that was fried to perfection, and with the most delicious fried kale. The Tartar, which was finely sliced meat, rather than the unstructured ground beef. The duck was served RED but of course, not bloody, and the ice cream that was innovative and had a beautiful texture. The wine, which mainly came from our wine sponsor - Best Selection, was also well selected - and Thorbjørn was especially pleased that the port wine was served in a white wine glass, and not in the small schnapps-like glass as you often see, and where you can enjoy the taste and the bouquet.

In conclusion, Bailli Délégué Jørgen Krenk and Chargé de Missions Peter Wedel Ranch Krarup, in appreciation of the first-class service, rewarded the brigades with the Danish Chaine service pin, for their truly excellent performance.
